The Lifeblood of the Internet

Traffic is the lifeblood of the Internet.

Deliver enough traffic to even the most amateur of websites and you will make money.

Sounds simple enough doesn't it?

But, if you've spent any time at all trying to drive traffic to your website and offer, you know that it is neither simple nor inexpensive.

Most traffic experts will drag out the usual traffic generation methods. These are

  • Search Engine Marketing (SEM) which involves either Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) or Pay Per Click Advertising (PPC). If you're prepared to spend huge amounts of time, or you've got a degree in computer science, SEO will deliver you targeted traffic. For most keywords that are worth targeting, your competitors will at least number in the tens of thousands. While Pay Per Click advertising for most of us is simply not economical. Most competitive keywords cost anywhere between $1 and $10, and while you can make it work, it's quite likely that you may spend at least $1000 before you find a profitable keyword, and even then, in most cases, the profit margin will be narrow.
  • Social Media marketing. This is the flavour of the month. Again, it takes time and/or money. There are plenty of software programs and social media marketing courses that claim that they will help you to reach an audience. Some people can make this work. Most people don't have the time, the money or the patience to help them build a viable online presence, particularly in a competitive niche like online marketing
  • Online classified advertising can work if you have an in demand product. Typical classified advertised sites like eBay, Gum Tree and Craig's List work best advertising physical products. The traffic is extremely targeted if you have an in-demand product.
  • Display advertising can be used through banner advertising, text advertising, full page advertising. pop up advertising, pop under advertising and log in ads. These forms of advertising are relatively cheap and can be used on a technically free basis (exchange advertising). It is prevalent across a number of advertising platforms and need to be trialled on a case by case basis.
  • Email Advertising Email is king, or is it? Email advertising can mean different things to different people because the phrase covers a multitude of different models. The purest form of email advertising is to email your own list. Growing an email list is not easy and at times it can appear to be unrewarding compared to the sugar hit of the occasional affiliate sale, but more than 90% of successful online businesses rely upon the traffic that an engaged marketing list brings. A big email list does not guarantee success, whereas an engaged list will almost certainly deliver results. There are no short cuts to doing this.===> Generate traffic to an opt in page ===> have a low cost offer on the front end ===> Follow up regularly with valuable and original content. There are numerous courses that will walk you through this, but as a starting point you could consider one of the many marketing funnels identified at Bull Free Zone. These funnels make use of the many marketing tools, graphics and customizable page templates at the advertising Leads Leap - which is probably the preeminent advertising platform for online marketers - if you're not a member join today and then make use of the numerous how to videos available in the public area oif Bull Free Zone.

But you can't leverage the possibilities of having an engaged email list without building it first and while the first four methods of advertising described above can and do work to a degree, two far more effective methods are using other forms of email advertising.

The first of these was once called newsletter advertising and is now more commonly called Solo ad buys. This advertising method can be super effective but is relatively expensive (not as expensive as Pay Per Click though). Essentially, you buy access to another marketer's email list. You provide the ad copy and landing page and the marketer will email a portion of his subscriber list. The marketer will agree to generate a predetermined number of link clicks in exchange for your money. Prices can vary anywhere in between 2 and 10 cents per click. Packages of 50, 100, 200 and even more clicks can be purchased. I'm generally comfortable paying between $45 and $60 for 100 clicks. While some sellers may have perfectly good reasons for selling at below these rates, I've found that I can't rely upon the quality of traffic when vendors advertise at below those rates. This method iof advertising works but requires a degree of marketing savvy as well as an ability to not only track traffic but also to be able to recognise junk traffic delivery. There are some entry-level solo ad platforms that will get you started in the market. The best of these is a program called  Udimi. You can read more about it here. A list of reputable solo ad sellers can be found in the member's area of Bull Free Zone.

A less costly way is to fall back on what has become an industry with an industry. I am speaking of the often misunderstood list mailing and safelist industry. This is a place where you can get serious access to large mailing lists on a daily basis for mere pennies in the dollar. With a few notable exceptions, safelists are free to join, but free membership is never really going to deliver you enough traffic or a  viable return in investment . The good news is that many mailers and safelists offer very low pro membership options that can be leveraged to not only deliver results but to also pay you to use and recommend their services. The best full explanation of how this works is in the seminal publication Secrets of the Big Dogs by Stan Stuchinski  If there is one online marketing book that every marketer should read this is it, as it really opens your eyes to the possibilities of leveraging this type  of traffic into multiple streams of income.

Bull Free Zone recommends Secrets of the Big Dogs as a core-level program. You can read the book for a one-time fee of just $7 that's chump change for a book that will open   your eyes to the real online marketing business and how you can profit from it. It is highly recommended that you

"STOP being eaten alive by the Big Dogs, and
BECOME one of the Big Dogs!"

Regardless of whether you read the Big Dogs eBook or not, the fact remains that safelists and some of the best traffic exchanges offer an  opportunity to leverage the traffic available into business income. You could do so by leveraging the plan available on the next page.
